For the reviewer who used this and got a haze...

First off, you are supposed to rub it down until the micro abrasives break down, then it polishes to a shine.
Unlike a wax, you do not leave this on to rub off later!
Second, if you did have something to get off, the next one recommended is the Swirl-X product.

My car hadn't been washed in over a year and hadn't had a good polish and wax in several years.
A claying, a coat of this, a coat of swirl x, and then some NXT Wax brought my car's paint back from the dead.
My arm became dead. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, September 13, 2009

This stuff is great... I started detailing my car the other day and was using some old turtle wax polishing compound I found in my garage... Swirl-mark central! I went out and picked this up, and it removed those swirl marks instantly and quickly brought life back to my 23 year old car's finish. Applies and comes off very easily. To the guy who wrote about the "glaze" in his review -- you know you're supposed to buff the compound off soon after it dries right? Don't use too soft a towel either, or it'll be tougher to remove. I removed the haze with a terry towel, then buffed it again briefly with a microfiber one. The microfiber one on its own does not have enough texture to remove the haze.

Again, terrific! No swirl marks to speak of and very gentle.

5.0 out of 5 stars In a class by itself (as far as consumer polishing compounds go), January 14, 2011

I purchased this product after a former professional detailer highly recommended it to restore paint. I am extremely satisfied with the results obtained from proper use of this true polish (contains abrasives). The first car I applied it to was a 2005 prius with 60,000 miles on the clock. This car's finish was neglected (not often waxed), but only had very fine swirl marks across most panels from machine washing. I applied the product fairly liberally, about a quarter sized blob for every 3-4 square feet. I DID NOT let the product dry before buffing. After evening spreading the product across the panel (or half panel) I was working on, I immediately started buffing it with light pressure from a 10" random orbital low speed buffer. I used microfiber bonnets over the foam to do the buffing (I find this to be a gentle approach that captures and contains a lot of the contaminants present in the paint; of course, a proper clay bar job would be even better as far as preparation). I... Read more
