4.0 out of 5 stars Remove fine scratch beautifully, only improve deep scratch, November 6, 2007

I decided to order this product base on the reviews i read also did some extra study on similar products. This is probably my best bet for it's price.

I have rather deep key mark (show primer) and a few fine scratch on my new blue car. As it said on the directions if you have deep scratch you need to get the match paint for it. so we went over to Wal mart and get one of those 5 dollar repair paint that come with a small brush and ball pen in same bottle (they come in several known brand and color such as TOYOTA , FORD, GM, etc;) I also saw the same products at Kregen too.

First i wipe clean the surface with wet cloth and then very lightly wet sand to smooth it up with the sand paper provided it in the kit then wipe clean, The sand paper is 3000 grid which is very fine and did a good job for it's purpose. I like it much better than the 2000 grid one they sell at automotive store. Only if they give you more than just a few strips i will be alot happier... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars A little balance to the reviews, April 30, 2009

Like everyone else, I bought Quixx Scratch Remover after reading the reviews on Amazon, other sites and watching the videos online.

I am the type of person who follows the directions when given something new so I tried Quixx according to the directions on a 3 inch key scratch. I have metallic paint and the scratch looked white, definitely visible, before treatment. I applied Quixx and began rubbing it in to the scratch mark. After one minute I was very disappointed, it didn't look like anything was happening. I kept rubbing, hoping for the best, when all of a sudden the scratch began to disappear. I kept rubbing and finally it disappeared. I was amazed, I couldn't even see where the scratch was. This happened on my passenger door.

After this, I proceeded to a near identical scratch on the same side of the car just over the wheel well. Highly visible white scratch I could feel with my fingernail, just like the previous one. I followed the exact same directions and... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Works as Advertised - Two Thumbs Up, January 1, 2009

This product works as advertised and exceeded my expectations. I used Quixx to remove scratches on the front fender of a Harley-Davidson Road King Classic. The fender's color was Vivid Black. For non-motorcycle people, the Harley fenders are painted sheet metal just like your car and cost nearly $500 to replace. Fixing and painting yourself is not an option unless you work in a paint shop.

I had just replaced a dented and scratched fender with a brand new fender from the factory and you guessed it...I scratched the new fender during installation.

Using Quixx I worked real slow and deliberate following the instructions to the letter. First used Polish 1 then Finish 2. It took 3 passes with Polish 1 then Finish 2 to remove the scratches and I gained confidence with applying elbow grease pressure with each pass. Each pass received greater pressure until I achieved the results I was expecting. I have to use a magnifying glass under direct sunlight to find... Read more
